#5: Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson

Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson shared a romantic kiss in Water for Elephants, but Witherspoon was initially hesitant about the scene—and for good reason. Pattinson was battling a nasty cold then, and Witherspoon, understandably wary of catching it, was reluctant to proceed.

She described it as “the most hideous, horrible cold of any co-star I’ve ever had to do a love scene with in my entire life.” Despite her initial reservations, she eventually agreed to film the scene, though she didn’t forget the experience. She recalled Pattinson sniffling through the love scene—certainly not the best way to catch a cold, but perhaps not the worst.
