From Will to David

Kids sometimes shock their parents with the words that come out of their mouths. When this woman’s son was only three years old, he decided to tell everyone his name was “David” instead of “Will.” Pretty standard names, right? Well, David was the name of another baby our storyteller had given birth to many years before.  

The baby, unfortunately, passed away due to premature birth. Our storyteller had never mentioned this loss in front of her three-year-old, so the fact that he insisted his name was “David” felt pretty shocking. We can only imagine the rush of feelings this mother must have felt when she heard Will say his deceased brother’s name.
