Waiters and waitresses work hard! They deserve to wait on people who are genuinely thankful to be out and about having a good time. If you’re going to be a jerk, just stay home. If you can’t tip them well, also stay home. You should be giving 10%+ for the privilege of having someone bring food to your table.

Some people I’ve witnessed out and about seem to think that the serving staff are less than human or don’t deserve respect because they choose to work in a restaurant. Believe it or not, their choices are entirely theirs. You don’t get to judge them or treat them badly. If they weren’t there, you wouldn’t be able to go out to eat!
