#30: Ah, the Projected Image

This is one of those small talk conversations that feel like an astounding amount of pressure. If someone asks about your hobbies, you can’t list watching television, napping, and drinking. You must sound like a functioning adult who enjoys intellectual things and get off your butt regularly.

Personally, I enjoy reading and crocheting, which are awfully sloth-like activities, but people respect them and show interest. I wish I could nap and drink, though. Maybe once my kids move out, I can restructure my hobbies into the more mainstream pie chart on the right.
