#40: What’s Up, Doc?

While this next one has a lot to say about how kids don’t always know the meaning of the words they hear, I think it says even more about how kids don’t always understand people’s emotional states, especially more adult, complex ones.

Because I don’t get how someone could hear Bugs Bunny say something and think “What a nice thing to say, I should say that too.” I mean, practically every word out of that rabbit’s mouth is super sarcastic and kind of derisive. I guess this is yet more proof that children are hilariously naive.
