44. A Forbidden Book
This dark history tidbit may be more fiction than fact, but it’s still interesting. Supposedly, there are seven surviving editions of “Satan’s Bible,” one of which belongs to the Vatican. This book is supposed to contain ancient knowledge lost after the Library of Alexandria was destroyed, and many people think the Vatican wants to keep it a secret.

We were unable to find anything about this mysterious book while doing our own research, but we did come across a book called the Codex Gigas, or the “Devil’s Bible.” This medieval illuminated manuscript contains a full-page illustration of the devil himself, which is pretty wild. Its completely in Latin and contains the New and Old Testament, alongside some medieval reference works.
