#4: The Lost Ticket

You know those “lost ticket” buttons on every parking garage machine? Well, you might want to try pushing it next time you need long-term parking. If, for whatever reason, you need to park your car in a parking garage for a week or so, don’t pay full price. When you push the “lost ticket” button, you only pay the daily maximum.

The daily maximum fee is way cheaper than a week-long fee. This questionable hack might be tricky, depending on how highly monitored the garage is. If a security guard notices your car is sitting there for a while, it could get towed. But if you know your car will be safely parked there for a few days, this hack could totally work.
