#32: Family Emergency

You can only call out sick so many times before your boss starts to get suspicious. If you’re looking for a new, fresh excuse to get out of work, try saying you have “family problems.” It’s vague but serious enough to give you a “stay at home” pass without anyone asking too many questions.

This isn’t the best excuse to use if you’re a superstitious person. What if you keep using the “family problems” excuse, and then karma comes back to bite you in the butt by causing actual serious family problems? It’s a risk some people are not willing to make, and we totally get it.
