Fast food restaurants make tons of money, so don’t feel bad if you try this questionable hack. Next time you’re feeling extra hungry on a budget, go up to the counter and say that something was missing from your order. Most places, from McDonald’s to Culver’s, will give you a free “replacement.”

Honestly, most fast food workers don’t care that much about the integrity of the company. So we’re sure most employees would throw in a free burger if they were in a good mood and you were polite about it. Considering the price of food these days, we’re almost tempted to try this hack ourselves.
