Spooky Season

Do you ever hear an outlandish rule and wonder what happened to spur its creation? Well, we have an origin story that explains one HOA’s strangely specific community rule. This person’s condo association has a rule prohibiting people from putting plastic skeletons on their balconies unless it’s the month of October. 

While some of us love to stay spooky all year round, this is a reasonable expectation for normal, non-spooky homeowners. But why did they have to make it an official rule? Turns out, our storyteller is the culprit. She thought it would be cute to keep her skeleton decorations up year-round. Oddly, this new anti-skeleton rule appears shortly afterward. Hm.
