Our Beautiful Garden

We always see those jokes in movies about the crazy HOA member who goes around measuring everyone’s grass with a ruler. Well, that stereotype is kind of true! This guy and his family recently moved into a new townhome. They soon got a letter stating they had not mowed their lawn in a timely manner and were in danger of receiving a fine. 

The thing is, they didn’t have any grass in their yard. It was just a bunch of topsoil and straw. How could they mow that?! They discovered that the “lawn” in reference was a single weed that was growing in the shade of a window. Instead of pulling it, our storyteller tied it to a stake and told the HOA it was their “garden.”
