Faking It

Have you ever faked an accent so that other people would somehow accept you or think better of you? Many of us have never done this, but according to polls, around 1 of every 5 Americans has done this before! The type of accents people fake can vary quite a lot.

Some Southerners try to sound like they’re from the North, whereas some people change countries entirely and try to seem like they’re from England. But how many people have you heard that tried to fake an American accent before?! Especially for a Scot; their accents are often seen as one of the more popular ones.
