Fireproof Feet

The common perception is that drunk people like to make things up because they’re trying to appear more impressive. But the truth is that drunk people are actually less likely to lie because they lose their inhibitions and sense of consequences when they’ve had a few drinks. This story is proof of that.

However, I’m not sure why anyone would need shoes that are as fireproof as this pair. Most fires are between 1100C to 1200C, which is far less than these fireproof shoes. Even fires with white flames only reach 1500C, so I’m not sure what exactly this friend was preparing for!
