Pulling Pranks

Judging by this entry and the previous one, Y2K was not so scary. It was the perfect time for pulling pranks like this one! I hope that these neighbors weren’t too scared about the lights going out, as there were people who genuinely thought it was the end of the world.

At the time, Deseret did a poll which found that 46% of Americans believed the Millenium Bug would cause issues for air traffic systems. A fourth of all those polled even began to prepare stores of food in case the world did collapse! Thankfully, it was all just an overreaction, and no major problems happened.
