#39: Schools Need to Have Education

It’s amazing how people still believe in this myth about hymens. They think it’s something that can only be broken when having sex… Hymens can tear or stretch for many reasons, but people aren’t taught this fact in school. Even horse-riding or sports activities can make a woman’s hymen tear!

Some women are even born without hymens. It’s sad that this myth causes unnecessary stress and pressure on young women when they realize they don’t have the same functions as other women. It’s time to bust this myth once and for all and focus on empowering women to make their own choices without judgment.
