They Are Not Allowed to Gamble
Regarding games of chance, Mormons aren’t rolling the dice. They’re staunchly against gambling in any shape or form, whether it’s the thrill of the roulette wheel, the lure of poker tables, or the excitement of slot machines and horse racing tracks.

Their stance is crystal clear when it comes to gambling. However, there’s a small loophole… Some Mormons might be okay with participating in state lotteries that channel funds toward charitable causes. But even then, they’re vigilant about ensuring the money isn’t used for purposes that clash with their beliefs.
