#16: I’m Not Your Maid
Wanting to help and contribute is natural when you marry into a family. But what happens when your in-laws start treating you like their personal servant? Roughly 10% of people feel their in-laws treat them like servants. But you’re a guest in their home, and they start giving you chores and errands like you’re their employee.

Of course, it’s always good to be helpful, but not at the expense of your well-being and happiness. Remember, you’re not a servant; you’re a family member, and that should be enough for your in-laws. If anyone ever asks you to wash a dish for them, remind them that they, too, have two hands.
