#12: You Owe Someone an Apology
Calling your child a nasty name is never acceptable. Yet, according to a recent survey, almost 10% of fathers admit to doing just that to their daughters. It’s like they forget that their words have power and that name-calling can have long-lasting effects on a person’s self-esteem and mental health.

There’s no excuse for this behavior, and fathers (and all parents, for that matter) should strive to build their children up, not tear them down.
