No Rest for Batman

There was a time when Ben Affleck was considered one of the sexiest men ever by many women. He even won the People’s magazine award for ”Sexiest Man Alive” in 2002. However, holding a person to such high standards can often dehumanize them, as being associated with ”perfection” strips them from the possibility of being flawed. That’s why when Ben was going through a depressive episode and gaining weight, so many fans turned their back on him…

But Batman didn’t allow a couple of mean paparazzi to get to him. He overcame his depression and worked on his self-esteem, eventually coming forward and showing all men it’s ok to age and experience a few rough patches. After all, men are also allowed to have flaws, and they won’t be stripped of their masculinity because of it.
