Two Can Play a Game

For some strange reason, (too) many men can’t seem to wrap their heads around why catcalling is deeply problematic. Catcalling usually involves things such as unwanted comments, gestures, honking, and stalking. All of these things trigger anxiety and fear in women, and because we’re not Neanderthals anymore, these aggressive tactics never work for men.

If catcalling wasn’t bad enough, some men think it’s ok to make inappropriate remarks about the appearance of underage girls. I’m glad that in this girl’s story, she had the courage to stand up for herself and didn’t suffer because of it. However, in many cases, when the woman claps back, the men don’t take it well, and it can lead to a physical altercation.
