Redefining Beauty

Ashley Graham is an American plus-size model and advocate for body positivity. Her modeling career was always followed by many harmful comments regarding her weight, as it’s still hard for people to accept beauty in non-conforming bodies. Ashley learned how to look past the hate and is now an inspiring figure for many plus-size women around the world.

Representation is a powerful thing. Seeing people that look similar to us in places of power can have a meaningful impact on how we perceive ourselves. Plus-size models allow young girls to feel represented and seen in a world where everyone tells them they don’t fit in. This makes room for a world where we feel more comfortable in our skin and learn how to be kinder to ourselves and others.
