Olympic superstar Simone Biles isn’t fazed by body-shaming bullies. The athlete endured many hateful comments about her body online from the media and the public during the 2020 Olympics. The four-time Olympic gold medal winner didn’t sweat over trolls online, and she instead took the opportunity to raise awareness around body shaming with the hashtag #BeautyIsNoCompetition.

Another serious issue, in this case, is the disparity in the treatment female and male athletes get. Have you ever heard someone commenting on Michael Phelps’s figure? Or Usain Bolt? Even though Simone Biles won 4 gold medals, all people could focus on was how different her body is from the beauty standards.
