When looking for a house to rent, often the kitchen is the first thing that people take notice of. How big it is, what size is the benchtop, and whether it has gas or electric appliances. These things are all very common experiences shared by a lot of people because cooking in our kitchens is probably one of the most universal experiences in the world.

A kitchen that isn’t intended for cooking… are we in IKEA? Cooking a big meal for your loved ones is such a big part of life, and this landlord wants its tenants to refrain from using the kitchen for anything other than warming up food. If this is an actual clause in the lease then these tenants got seriously duped, and if not, then this is completely unjust.
