Whenever you are treated to a little something fun in the workplace, it can feel as though management is really looking after their employees. There is nothing more important for a workplace than to have employees that feel as though they are appreciated. But when the gesture comes with a list of what not to do – and a warning – you might not feel so comfortable enjoying this so-called treat.

These employees have been given very specific instructions, in red marker nonetheless, outlining which cookies they are allowed to eat. What if someone wants to have a smaller cookie and they only exist at the bottom of the pile? Do they have to waste half the cookie? Whatever management wants, management gets. How did someone manage to take the fun out of eating cookies?
