32. And All We Were Caring About Were Dinosaurs

Steven Spielberg’s megahit Jurassic Park with its amazing special effects and killer soundtrack by John Williams, has skyrocketed dinosaurs into popularity in media and pop culture. It has resulted in countless sequels and spinoffs that are still coming out today.

The first movie came out in 1993, though, thirty years ago, and did very well at the box office as Spielberg movies often do. And during that time, while we were all enjoying our popcorn at the theater, South African Apartheid was only then finally and properly on its way to being ended.
