It was all but gone by the 1900s but lasted in more remote parts of Europe until as late as the 1960s. The very last service would stop in 1961, the same year that Barbie’s boyfriend, Ken, was introduced as a doll line. A shame, too; maybe if he’d tried employing a stagecoach in the newest Barbie movie, he could have won her heart.
