18. The Pyramids Are HOW Old?!
We knew the pyramids were old, but… holy moly. This is straight-up mindblowing. Woolly mammoths began to dwindle after the ice age, eventually going extinct about 10,000 years ago as they were running out of resources to survive.

However, some small groups managed to survive up to about 1650 BC (which was during the Bronze Age!), which is estimated to be over 1,000 years after the first Egyptian pyramids were constructed. To be clear, Egypt was already ancient by this age, as the earliest pyramids could have been constructed as early as 2630 BC.
