#45: One Good Turn Deserves Another
If you found money that someone had lost in the street, what would you do? Would you steal it? Would you try to locate the owner? Or would you leave it alone, figuring that the person who lost it would probably figure that out eventually and could retrace their steps to try to find their missing item?

I think a lot of us would just leave it alone, especially if like the guy in the story, we were homeless and probably had a lot of other things on our minds. This man, trying to do the right thing, went to the effort of tracking down the person who lost this large check. And what he learned is that sometimes doing good is its own reward, but sometimes we actually get massive rewards for doing good. I’m not saying that you should do good things in the hopes that you’ll be rewarded. But I am saying that when it happens, getting that reward is pretty great.
