#35: Help from an Unlikely Source

For most people who have been to Paris, or who at least would like to go to Paris, the fire in the Notre Dame cathedral was pretty devastating. After all, that cathedral has stood for hundreds of years and witnessed so many events in Parisian history. And I don’t know if there’s anything more awe-inspiring than taking in a service there.

So when the structure was badly damaged in a fire in 2019, it was incredibly tragic. However, an unlikely source stepped forward to say that they had accurate plans and measurements of the building. Who knew that video games could play such an important part in the conservation of historical buildings? From all of us who love Notre Dame, we salute you, Ubisoft.
