#22: The Book Lady

Dolly Parton goes by many names, but would you ever imagine that some people know her as The Book Lady? Dolly Parton is famous for her incredible singing career and unique sense of fashion, but she’s done a lot of amazing things during her lifetime and career. In 1995, she started her children’s benefit Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

It started as a benefit for children from her hometown in Tennessee, and today it reaches children all over the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and the Republic of Ireland. The initiative mails educational and high-quality books to young children in order to encourage their education.
