#12: Fighting Back Against Poachers

It’s sad when any animal is illegally poached, but it’s super sad when it’s gorillas being poached. These large, intelligent mammals are critically endangered, which means we can’t afford to lose many more of them if we want to keep these amazing creatures walking the earth.

Of course, humans need to do everything they can to help these animals. But in this case, the gorillas learned to help themselves! They put all that intelligence to work learning how to dismantle traps set by poachers. It’s the kind of mind-blowing story that gives us a newfound appreciation for these animals.
