#52: Groupies Double Standards

Groupies were always made fun of, no matter the band, celebrity, or time period. However, in the past few weeks, social media has been heated up about the double standards surrounding groupies. The conversation started after many users claimed that the fanbase around Twightlight is problematic and that if they were men, society would view the issue differently.

Some people claim that men do, in fact, act this way towards younger female celebrities and that it’s simply not viewed as problematic. What’s your take? Should certain movies and TV shows have an age limit for the fanbase, or is taste independent from age? Let us know back in the comments.
