#48: Let It Out
Another thing that was brought up by different men on the thread is crying. Social norms and conventions taught us that men don’t cry, because their tough and unaffected. Why is that? Just like women, men have emotions and weaknesses, and there’s no reason why they shouldn’t express them.

For this person, being a father and having a daughter changed the way he feels about crying and expressing emotion. He grew up thinking that men can’t cry or express any sort of weakness, but he is slowly realizing there’s no shame in crying. It’s a long process, but hopefully, we all learn that as a society one day.
