#42: Step-Parenting

In life, there are many things that we do that we don’t necessarily choose to do that become active parts of our lives after a while. Many of us end up in certain situations that we never thought we would be in, but given the circumstances, we choose to take on these unexpected changes.

Why do step-parents not receive the same praise that biological parents get when they look after their children? The fact that there is someone unrelated to the child that has decided to take on the responsibility of being their parent should be enough of a reason for a little bit of praise.
