#38: A Pretty Low Bar

Another man shared a double standard he experienced firsthand at a bar he used to go to. There was a woman who was a regular at the same bar he frequented who would constantly harass him and give him unwanted flirtatious attention. This man felt extremely frustrated because this woman’s behavior was unwanted and completely inappropriate.

An unconsented ear lick is gross coming from anyone, but he noticed how this woman’s behavior was considered funny instead of creepy by the other bar patrons. If the roles were reversed and he acted the same way around women, people would have immediately recognized it as harassment. Friendly reminder that harassment can happen to anyone, regardless of their gender! Consent is key, folks.
