#36: Hands Off

Here we have another example of the double standard that comes along with the fine line between harassment and flirting. This guy shared that girls would constantly grab his behind without asking while he was in high school. We have no idea what the backstory behind this is (no pun intended, sorry) but he definitely didn’t enjoy it happening to him. Even though he told his female classmates that he wanted them to stop, they didn’t!

No means no, and these girls definitely should’ve backed off after he told them to stop. He recognized that girls get away with inappropriate behavior more so than men. This kind of behavior, when it’s unwanted, is totally not okay to do regardless of gender. If a boy did that same thing to a girl at his school, he pointed out that there would be an uproar. That would definitely be an appropriate response, but maybe the same response should’ve happened when girls were acting like this towards him.
