#23: Court Orders

Divorce is always an emotional experience, but it can be even harder when there are kids involved. A lot of times separated couples who have beef with each other will take it out on their kids, whether they mean to or not. Just because one partner hates the other doesn’t mean they need to deprive their kids of having a relationship with their mother or father. 

As we’ve discussed earlier in this list, there’s the stereotype that mothers always get custody of their children regardless of the situation. While that’s not always the case, some fathers get the short end of the stick when it comes to time with their kids. One guy shared his story of how his ex-wife can block him from seeing his kids very easily with the help of the court system. While we don’t know the whole story here, that is heartbreaking and unfortunately does still happen.
