#13: What Do You Want to Be When You Grow Up?

One person shared a double standard in our society that is deeply discriminating against women, and it’s honestly hard to stay quiet when reading a statement like that. Since when do men make more capable lawyers, doctors, and accountants? I’m not even sure they make more capable and trustworthy bodyguards!

This kind of statement is so problematic because it instills in new generations the kind of flawed logic that kept women behind the sidelines for so long. Women are just as capable as men (if not more, in some cases), and allowing them to become doctors, lawyers, and accountants (and even bodyguards) is the best thing we did for our society.
