#45: Know Your Field

When you apply to be a marketing writer for a furniture company or a store that specializes in a certain field, you’re expected to have basic knowledge of that field. That being said, this guy’s expertise is writing – not furniture, and he can’t be expected to know every single thing about furniture, right?

The weirdest part about this isn’t that this woman expected this guy to know what a “sham” is (what is a sham? We never did find out). The weirdest part is that this was her only question. Even if he got the question wrong, is that reason enough to be so rude to him? That just seems uncalled for.
