#17: Mansplain My Resume

Yet another story of an insufferable interviewer giving unsolicited advice to a young female interviewee. When this woman was just starting out with her career, she interviewed at a venture capital firm. The interview went well, but the guy interviewing her had some condescending “feedback” to give about her resume.

She had an internship at a feminist magazine listed on her resume, and he “generously advised” that she take it off when applying to jobs in the future. This man was obviously insecure and intimidated because he then seriously asked her if she hated men. Yes, feminism is all about hating men, not gaining equality for all people.
