#35: Andrew East and Shawn Johnson

Shawn Johnson, the wife of the former Washington Redskins long snapper, is a renowned gymnast. Andrew East and Shawn Johnson met back in 2012 through Andrew’s brother, who thought the Olympic gymnast would be a perfect match for his brother, the football player. Andrew made the trip to Los Angeles to meet Shawn, who was competing at Dancing with the Stars at the time.

The date went well, nothing out of the ordinary, and the two didn’t see each other for the next nine months. Their busy schedules required them to be in different parts of the country, and one date wasn’t enough for neither of them to know this was the person they would spend the rest of their lives with. For their second date, it was Johnson who made a trip to Nashville, where Andrew was playing college football at Vanderbilt University. That’s when the gymnast fell in love with the city and the man.
