#35: It’s Time to Let Go
I don’t think there could be a more macabre way to describe the final stages of life in the ICU than “keeping corpses alive.” It’s really pretty crazy that modern medicine has developed that capability, and often, it really can delay a patient’s death long after the time they would have died otherwise.

But I guess the professionals know that sometimes staying alive isn’t the most important thing. Especially when there is a hospital full of people who need medical assistance and attention. It might sound bleak, but resources should be spent in the most efficient and effective way…
