#21: The Patient Has Power
This should be the most obvious piece of information on the internet! I mean, at least the first part should be. Obviously, you can leave the hospital and refuse treatments. You are the PATIENT. The treatments are for YOU. It’s like saying you won’t get punished for leaving McDonalds without finishing your McNuggets.

As for the insurance impact, I don’t have a problem with it per se, but it’s weird that there are all kinds of silly little clauses that will affect your coverage, yet clear evidence that you are likely to refuse life-saving treatment that you need has no effect whatsoever. Kinda weird.
