#14: No One’s on Your Side

It’s almost getting tiring to read things like this. Is there anyone left that’s actually on the side they claim to be on? I mean, I understand the need for hospitals to cover themselves. They’re dangerous places with so many variables that can lead to accidents and angry patients, and hence lawsuits.

Any number of minor mishaps can have devastating effects, and not necessarily at the fault of the hospital or its staff. But it’s still somewhat demoralizing to find out that the people who claim to be there to assist the patient in their time of need are actually primarily concerned with something entirely different.
