Dubbed the Avantime, or ‘ahead of its time,’ this vehicle emerged from the mind behind the Ford Sierra. Despite Sierra’s success, Avantime’s elongated, sleek yet unappealing design limited its popularity, which was initially conceived as a mere concept.

Transitioning into production unchanged, the Avantime’s journey was short-lived, culminating in commercial disappointment. Selling under 9,000 units between 2001-2003, its unconventional aesthetics played a pivotal role in its demise.
