#16: What the Fans Didn’t See

Katey Sagal became pregnant three times during Married… with Children’s 10-plus-year run. Her first pregnancy, during season six, was initially written into the show’s storyline. Tragically, after Sagal suffered a miscarriage, the plot was scrapped and explained away as a dream sequence.

Her next two pregnancies, in seasons eight/nine and 10, were handled differently. Rather than incorporating them into the show, producers opted to hide them from viewers through strategic camera angles and wardrobe choices, keeping Peggy’s signature look intact.
