45. Red Barn
Red Barn was extremely recognizable as a fast-food restaurant because it stood out from the rest. You can probably guess why. Yes, the restaurants were built in the shape of a barn and painted bright red! The chain served hamburgers and offered customers a make-it-yourself salad bar.

The restaurant first opened in Dayton, Ohio. Servomation bought the chain in the late 1960s, opened locations in 19 states, and eventually went international with some outlets in Australia and Canada. While the brand Red Barn became defunct, they did turn some locations into a store called The Farm.
