38. D’Lites
D’lites was a fast-food restaurant that was years ahead of its time. They focused on serving a healthier version of the fast food that Americans loved by using lean ground beef, low-calorie cheese, buns that contained optimum fiber, and frozen yogurt instead of ice cream.

The chain wasn’t around for very many years, but it definitely left a mark on the customers who were lucky enough to eat there. The company filed Chapter 11 in 1987 and sold its remaining stores to Hardee’s. According to experts, the chain didn’t stand a chance once the big players started serving healthier choices.
