Returning to the Real World

It’s not hard to imagine that many current inmates spend most of their time longing for freedom and the outside world. However, once that freedom arrives, assimilating into normal life can be a monumental challenge.

This story illustrates just how difficult that transition can be. In this instance, the former inmate had been in prison for so long that he kept the same strict schedule even after he was out. Sadly, he also carried some scary memories, making it hard to relax and enjoy life in the free world simply.
