While prison guards are not the most popular people among inmates, they are a necessary force. Without enough prison guards on staff, it is nearly impossible for the prison to run smoothly. Summertime often proves to be the time of year when staff shortages are at their highest.

Like many other people, the hot summer months are the perfect time for a prison guard to take a vacation. But while the guards may be living it up on the beach, the inmates must suffer more than usual. This story tells of a three-day lockdown, all because the guards needed some time off the job.
